The Power of One Toyota

Ross Anderson

Celebrating 30 years in car finance, Ross Anderson has a lot to be proud of. And as the One Toyota Fleet Manager, he has plenty more to prove.

Ross started at Toyota Fleet Management (TFM) in 2001, so you could say he knows his way around the business. Moving from retail to fleet took him out of his comfort zone, and his success led to his appointment as TFM’s first Fleet Dealer Manager. That was just the beginning of his brilliant career at TFM.

Motivated by his drive to impress, the key to Ross’ success is his consistency in delivering positive outcomes for customers, dealers, colleagues and managers.

When Ross was promoted to the One Toyota Fleet Manager, he was once again taken out of his comfort zone, finding himself training and presenting a lot more. He has continued to lead by example, embodying One Toyota values and promoting the importance of building relationships that deliver results.

We sat down with Ross so he could tell us more about One Toyota.

What’s One Toyota?

One Toyota is made up of five companies: Toyota Fleet, Lexus, Hino Trucks, Toyota Fleet Management and Toyota Material Handling Australia. They all work together to give customers to a wide range of vehicles and assets, from cars, to trucks, to forklifts which can be funded and managed by TFM. One Toyota is Australia’s only complete fleet solution, allowing us to support each other’s business whilst providing a seamless one stop shop solution to fleet customers.

How does it benefit customers?

One Toyota helps you reduce admin time and costs with centralised points of contact. You can access expertise right across the group with integrated support from the manufacturer, dealer and fleet management.

How is One Toyota different?

It’s all about these four pillars:

  1.   Relationship Power – Dedicated contacts, tailored solutions and understanding customer’s needs.
  2.   Brand Strength – Aligned brands working for customers, and Quality, Durability and Reliability.
  3.   One Stop Shop – A complete fleet solution with dealer network access and consolidated reporting.
  4.   Risk Mitigation – Strong residuals, reduced exposure and reduced fleet downtime.

As you can see, One Toyota offers many business benefits to Fleet customers. Here’s what one such happy customer, David Blackburn from Century Yuasa Batteries, had to say about his experience:

“Working in partnership with One Toyota, our business has reduced unnecessary costs, expanded on our existing environmental commitments and minimised the number of supplier relationships required to manage our fleet. One Toyota just makes it happen, bringing together the whole Toyota Group of Companies to provide us with an unrivalled business fleet solution.”*
