Electric Car Novated Lease

Electric Car Novated Lease

Switching to a zero or low emission Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) has never been easier. Thanks to the Australian Government’s Electric Car Exemption, you can save on your next EV with a novated lease.

There is no Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) liability on a Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) that meets the conditions for employer FBT exemption.

Whether you're looking to reduce your tax burden, lower your running costs[A1], or make a an impact on the environment, a novated lease with TFM is a smart way to electrify your drive.

How does it work?

Vehicle Requirements

Ensure that your Novated Lease is eligible for the FBT exemption. Your Electric Car needs to meet the key criteria outlined by the Australian Tax Office:

  • At no point either at most recent sale or in the vehicle’s history has the vehicle ever been liable to luxury car tax LCT.
  • The vehicle payload must be less than one tonne. Also, the total designed seating must not exceed eight occupants
